Calling Song “There Is A Balm In Gilead” #375 Hymnal
                                                                          – Recorded on youtube by Charles E. Szabo
(Refrain)
There is a balm in Gilead to make the wounded whole;
There is a balm in Gilead to heal the sin-sick soul.

1.  Sometimes I feel discouraged, and think my work’s in vain.
       But then the Holy Spirit revives my soul again.

(Refrain)

2.  If you cannot preach like Peter, if you cannot pray like Paul,
     Just tell the love of Jesus, and say he died for all.

(Refrain)

Responsive Reading from Psalm 105: 1-6
Leader: O give thanks to the Lord, call on God’s name, make known God’s deeds among the peoples!
People: Sing to the Lord, sing praises!  Tell of all God’s wonderful works!
Leader: Glory in God’s holy name;  let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
People: Seek the Lord and his strength;  seek the Lord’s presence continually.
All:  Remember the wonderful works God has done, the miracles and judgements God has uttered.

Scripture
       Genesis 21:8-20
       John 4:7-14

Message Abraham/Jefferson:  Pain and Patriarchs   by Chase Vanweerdhuizen

Commitment Hymn:   “Amazing Grace”    Hymnal #378
Amazing Grace!  How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;  was blind but now I see.

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come;
‘tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me, his word my hope secures;
He will  my shield and portion be, as long as life endures.

Benediction:
May the peace of the LORD Jesus go with you wherever he may send you.
May he guide you through the wilderness, protect you through the storm.
May he bring you home rejoicing at the wonders he has shown you.
May he bring you home rejoicing once again into our doors.

Postlude: “Jesu, Joy of Mans Desiring” by Johann Sebastien Bach

Bob, you may have clicked on the wrong area of the recording. If you click on the middle of the recording, or anywhere along the black line, it will start at that point.

Next time try clicking on the right pointing arrow on the left side. The recording should then start at the beginning.
