Call To Worship:
Carol O Come, O Come, Emmanuel (v. 2) UMH #211
O come, Thou wisdom from on high,
And order all things far and nigh;
To us the path of knowledge show
and cause us in her ways to go.
Emanuel shall come to thee, O Israel.
Reading from Psalm 130:1-5
Leader: Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
People: Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.
Leader: If you, Lord, kept a record sins, Lord, who could stand?
People: But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.
All: I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.
Lord, you have woven the cloth of humanity too tightly for any of us to exist without one another. Help us to see, in this time of isolation and distancing, how much we need each other and You. Come, Lord Jesus, Come.
Carol Like a Child TFWS #2092
Like a child love would send to reveal and to mend,
like a child and a friend, Jesus comes.
Like a child we may find
claiming heart, soul, and mind, Jesus comes.
Like a child we will meet, ragged clothes, dirty feet,
like a child on the street, Jesus comes.
Like a child we once knew coming back into view,
like a child born anew, Jesus comes.
Like a child born to pray and to show us the way,
like a child here to stay, Jesus comes.
Like a child we receive all that love can conceive,
like a child we believe, Jesus come.

Carol What Child is This UMH #219
What child is this who, laid to rest, on Mary’s lap is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,
while shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King,
whom shepherds guard and angels sing;
haste, haste to bring him laud, the babe, the son of Mary.
May the peace of the Lord Jesus go with you
wherever he may send you.
May he guide you through the wilderness,
protect you through the storm.
May he bring you home rejoicing
at the wonders he has shown you.
May he bring you home rejoicing once again into our doors
