Opening Prayer (in unison) - Dianne Kinney Lord, be with us this day: Within us to purify us; Above us to draw us up; Beneath us to sustain us; Before us to lead us; Behind us to restrain us; Around us to protect us. We ask you, O Master, to be our help. Rescue those in distress; Raise up the fallen; Assist the needy; Heal the sick; Feed the hungry; Release the captives; Revive the weak; Encourage those who lose heart. In Eastertide, we remember the resurrected Christ and we anticipate our own resurrection. We can celebrate this season by looking for signs of new life in the world around us. In the church calendar, Easter lasts for seven weeks, bringing us to the season of Pentecost. The colors that mark Easter are white and gold.
