Study Tips for Sunday, Feb. 13th

It was difficult to not be with you last Sunday. It is reported that you were well cared for.

Here are some tips to help you prepare for this Sunday’s services:

• Begin by reading one of these passages – Matthew 8:1-4 and 9:1-7, Mark 1:40-2:12, or Luke 5:12-26.
• My choice is Mark but you choose for yourself.
• What words or images caught your attention?
• Now, spend some time imagining the scenes. Where was Jesus? Who might have been with him?
• Do you find any clues about why these two were healed?
• What are your reactions when you read about these and other healings?
• Read your chosen passage again, perhaps aloud.

Could it be that relieving physical, social, or emotional difficulties is not the only or maybe the most important reason for a miracle?
