Hi Everyone! October 10, 2024
The jet lag has worn off and now I’m just regular tired! I’m thankful to be at home in my own home. We had such a great time at our Neighborhood Fall Carnival! The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed ourselves! Everyone seemed thankful to be our neighbor. A huge thank you to our pastor who put the whole event together and for everyone who helped out and donated money. You are appreciated! You are in for a treat! The Weiser Little Theater has a new production out. It’s a comedy named Last Roundup of the Guacamole Queens and our own Dianne Kinney is the producer. You can get your tickets by going to weiserlittletheater.org or call (208) 549-9355 and leave a message. They will call you back. The play is billed as The Southern Fried High School Reunion Comedy. Sounds fun to me! Our Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 15th at noon in the Fellowship Hall. Anyone can attend this meeting. Glenora and Shane Wright made it to Maui safely and will return home on Saturday. We will be looking for suntans! Danny Crego interviewed for a new job last Tuesday and said the interview went very well. It is a newly created job that sounds perfect for Danny. It requires lots of energy which we know that Danny has in spades. Good luck Danny! We have some prayer requests this week. Lori Steiniker had surgery this week and is recovering at home. Keep Lori in your prayers. Chuck Pollock had surgery recently on his legs and Jean reports that he is doing well. We look forward to Chuck being back in church! One of the AA members, Gil stopped by the office a couple of days ago asking for prayers for his mother-in-law. She has cancer throughout and her family is struggling with that news. Please keep Lillian and her family in your prayers. We received the news that Brandon Baumler’s grandfather passed away a few days ago. Brandon was able to make his way to him and was able to spend time with him. Brandon knew his grandfather was near the end but it’s still hard. Please keep Brandon’s family in your prayers. Let’s keep the hurricane victims in our prayers. Roxanne’s son Paul and daughter LaVonne and families were right in the path but are just fine. Amen to that! Pastor Mary Beth would like you to read Revelation 15:5-19:10 in preparation for Sunday’s sermon. Have a great rest of the week. Bless and be blessed. God’s light lives in us. He gives every one of us the gift to bless others. To honor Him is to use this gift. Blessings, Cris
